We’re NEXTY Awards and VegNews Best Ice Cream Finalists! While awards aren’t everything, there’s nothing sweeter than being recognized by the best in the natural and vegan food worlds! Mauna Loa is ecstatic to have our dairy-free ice cream nominated in awards voted by industry experts and our evergrowing ʻohana.

This year, after reviewing hundreds of products, NEXTY’s judges chose 73 finalists across 19 categories in the natural products industry. Mauna Loa’s Molokaʻi Sea Salt & Caramel Dairy-Free Ice Cream was one of those 73 finalists! Curious about the flavor? It is a unique recipe of creamy caramel swirls and a dash of sea salt, sourced from the Island of Molokaʻi. Under the watchful eye of a Saltmaster, seawater sourced from the ultra-pure waters around Molokaʻi are solar evaporated to achieve a mineral-rich sea salt. Winners will be announced next month at Expo East.

Celebrating the evergrowing world of vegan ice cream, VegNews is capping summer with their Best Vegan Ice Cream in America Awards. This year, Mauna Loa has been nominated for Best Vegan Ice Cream Pint and Best Alt-Base Vegan Ice Cream Brand. For VegNews's awards, the public is welcome to vote for their favorite vegan ice creams. Voting ends soon on August 31st!
